The West Shore RCMP have released that a thief attempting to steal mail has been caught.

According to police, they received a call around 12:20 am on Monday, April 6 about a mailbox theft in progress at the community mailbox located at 791 Station Ave in Langford.

The citizen who called witnessed a male break into the mailboxes and flee the scene on foot, said police. West Shore RCMP added the witness was able to offer a good description of the suspect and the direction in which he fled.
