A Victoria man who recently bought a winning lottery ticket says he is ready to get some new furniture.
Dennis Demetrioff won $500,000 in the Lotto Max Extra Sept. 4 draw.
“It has been a few years since I have bought any new furniture,” Demetrioff said in a release.
“I might replace a few pieces in the house such as the couch – and get myself a new bed.”
Demetrioff purchased his winning ticket at the Fairway Market on Jacklin Road, where he later returned to scan it.
“I may not be overly excitable, but it still is very exciting,” he said.
He also plans on sharing his winnings with his two children.
Lotto Max is a nationwide lottery game drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays after 7:30 p.m. (PST).
