Victoria police are investigating after a car crashed into the side of a home just north of Beacon Hill Park last week.
The crash occurred on March 25, just after 5:30 a.m., at a home in the 900-block of Southgate Street.
When officers arrived at the home, a resident said the driver of the car had fled the scene on foot.
Police say an “extensive search” was launched at the time, which included the use of police dogs, however the driver was not found.
VicPD’s forensic team was also called to the house to comb through the crash site.
Investigators say they were able to contact the owner of the car, who said that the vehicle had been stolen earlier that day.
Police are now asking the driver to come forward – as well as any potential witnesses or anyone who may have home surveillance video or dashcam footage of the area on March 25.
