RCMP are renewing a call for help locating a missing man from Courtenay, who has not been seen since early May.

Police are searching for 53-year-old David Phillips, who was last seen at his home on May 8.

The Comox Valley RCMP first asked for help locating Phillips on May 17. On May 28, Mounties said they were still searching for the missing man and released a new photo of him.

“We are releasing another photograph of David, in the hopes someone has seen him, or his red chopper-style e-bike,” said Const. Monika Terragni, media relations officer with the Comox Valley RCMP.

Mounties say Phillips is commonly seen riding his red chopper-style e-bike, pictured at the bottom of this story, and is known to frequent parks in Courtenay.

“Investigators are currently following up on all investigative leads and tips provided by the public,” said Terragni. “We urge anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward.”

Phillips stands 6’ tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He has hazel eyes, and brown and grey hair.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts, or on the location of his e-bike is asked to call the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321.
