Police are searching for a suspect after a vehicle slammed into a Hydro pole in Saanich on Thursday evening.
The crash happened on Cloverdale Avenue at the corner of Calumet just after 6:30 p.m.
The driver, believed to be a woman, then fled the scene.
“We’ve spoke to the registered owner, we’re not sure who was driving, we’re still investigating, and charges will be pending,” said Sgt Alan Gruzinski of Saanich Police.
Witnesses then told police that the same vehicle had been involved in an earlier crash in Victoria.
