More than a dozen milk products are being recalled in Canada for possible listeria contamination.

Multiple dairy milk substitute products manufactured by two brands are being recalled across Canada for possible listeria contamination.

Eighteen Great Value and Silk plant-based milk products are being recalled after people reported illnesess from drinking the products.

Listeria may not always smell or looked spoiled. When consuming contaminated products, symptoms can include vomiting, fever, and nausea. In severe cases, the bacteria can be fatal.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says all affected products have the product code 7825 and best-before dates up to and including October 4, 2024.

Consumers can check at the top of the product to see if it’s part of the recall.

People who have purchased the affected products must stop consuming it, throw it out or return it to where they bought it.
