A male in his 30s was arrested last week in Langford following a West Shore RCMP investigation into drug trafficking.
Two search warrants were executed last Friday at a home on Moyes Road, near Treanor Avenue in Langford that led to the seizure of drugs, cash and a taser.
In a release Thursday, West Shore RCMP says the individual arrested is well known to police and has been arrested previously for drug trafficking offences.
Police seized $1,200 cash, more than 43 grams of cocaine, 175 grams of methamphetamine, 5.5 grams of fentanyl and other drug paraphernalia, including a number of fake prescription drugs believed to be opioids.
A prohibited conducted energy weapon, or taser, and bear spray was also found in the search by officers of the home.
The male was arrested for drug trafficking, breach of recognizance and theft under $5,000.
West Shore RCMP asks anyone with information regarding drug trafficking to report it to them at 250-474-2264 or through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
