West Shore RCMP says a male in his 30s was arrested for drug trafficking, breach of recognizance as well as theft under $5,000. Police conducted two search warrants at a property in Langford.
A male in his 30s was arrested last week in Langford following a West Shore RCMP investigation into drug trafficking.
Two search warrants were executed last Friday at a home on Moyes Road, near Treanor Avenue in Langford that led to the seizure of drugs, cash and a taser.
In a release Thursday, West Shore RCMP says the individual arrested is well known to police and has been arrested previously for drug trafficking offences.
Police seized $1,200 cash, more than 43 grams of cocaine, 175 grams of methamphetamine, 5.5 grams of fentanyl and other drug paraphernalia, including a number of fake prescription drugs believed to be opioids.
A prohibited conducted energy weapon, or taser, and bear spray was also found in the search by officers of the home.
