Island musician hopes Juno win will mean new opportunities

Badlands Jas, otherwise known as Jasmine Colette, says her band was the underdog in the Best Blues Album category at this year’s Juno Awards.

When Blue Moon Marquee was announced as the winner, she was surprised and felt validated all at the same time.

On this week’s edition of Inspiring Island Women, we learn about Jas, her path to professional music, and her pride and joy, a baby blue 1983 pick-up truck.
