The BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) says an LPN submitted timesheets claiming hours they didn’t work, totalling an estimated $23,262 in extra wages.

Kennedy Baker, a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at a pharmacy in Victoria, submitted the timesheets claiming the extra hours between September and December 2022, a notice by BCCNM says.

In addition to claiming the extra hours, BCCNM says Baker falsified the name and signature of the authorizing charge nurse on some timesheets.

The notice says Baker has voluntarily agreed to a six month suspension of their nursing registration, a public reprimand, and to take remedial education on professional responsibility and accountability, and a comprehensive ethics course.
