WATCH: A large low-pressure system will spin in strong southeast wind tonight particularly over the North Island where wind speeds of 90-100 km/hr are possible for Port Hardy.

Wind warnings are posted for the north, west and east Island tonight for strong southeast winds and rain will be in the 20-30 millimetre range for Tofino and the west coast. Greater Victoria will see rain and southeast wind near 60 km/hr tonight with lows of 7 C. Saturday will have showers on and off with some clearing in the late day and highs of 10 C. Look for a mix of sun and cloud Sunday with highs around 8.
