Driver caught going double the speed limit in Central Saanich allegedly found impaired

A driver going over double the speed limit on a Central Saanich road was found to be impaired Thursday night, says Central Saanich Police.

Officers say the vehicle was going 108 km/h in a 50 km/h zone when pulled over.

The driver had their license seized for 90 days and vehicle impounded for 30 days.

Officers also issued a $368 excessive speeding ticket.

One witness says the vehicle was stopped on Keating Cross Road.
