A witness says a body has been found near Crease Avenue in Saanich Saturday morning.
A witness says she was walking her dog when she came across the deceased person on driveway of a home near Wascana Street.
The woman went on to say the body had blood visible, and was found by a home that was under construction.
Officers are not releasing many details but say they are investigating an incident and traffic will be re-routed in the 100-block of Crease Avenue for an extended time.
The intersection of Seaton Street and a nearby section of the Galloping Goose Regional Trail are also closed.
Those travelling on the Galloping Goose are advised to use Cadillac Avenue from Tillicum Road to Harriet Road, where they can return to the trail.
Officers can be seen canvassing homes in the area.
