Saanich Police are on the lookout for a man who broke into an apartment building and stole several packages from the mail area earlier this month.

Police say the theft occurred around 5:50 p.m. on June 7.

Video surveillance captured an image of the man as he entered the apartment building located in the 3900-block of Shelbourne Street, towards McKenzie Avenue.

“Dear Suspect, [Saanich Police] would like to thank you for walking right by the camera so they could get this great picture of you,” said Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers in a social media post Friday.

“As you stole the multiple Amazon packages from the mail area were you playing guess what’s in the box?”

Anyone with information on the theft or who recognizes the man is asked to call Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit a tip online. All information can be submitted anonymously.
